Spaghetti Alla Crudaiola

Hubby did this night before last for dinner and its basically raw tomatoes and peppers with your spaghetti.  Now, when you are feeding a couple of meat eating South Africans it's a very brave choice to serve them up a vegetarian meal.  Well I tell you it was a HIT.


It's from the book The Greedy Italians from the series with Antonio Carluccio and Gennaro Contaldo.

The sauce (needs to sit in the fridge for a few hours/overnight to marinade) is made from:
Cherry Tomatos
Sweet green peppers
Capers
Celery stalk
Basil leaves
Dried oregano
Garlic clove
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
......and its absolutely easy peazy as you just toss this in with your spaghetti once its cooked.  You could make up the marinade the night before/in the morning and have it for dinner that evening - SCRUMMY :-)

  2. Sounds scrummy I'd never considered putting uncooked tomatoes with pasta but I like the sound of it!
